Maho Refund Policy
Last updated: August 2026 | Kind Base Inc DBA Maho
This Refund Policy describes the refund and transaction practices for services provided by Kind Base, Inc. doing business as Maho (“Maho,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By using the Services, you agree to this Policy.
1. Setup Fees
One-time setup fees are non-refundable. Setup fees are due and collected in full prior to the commencement of onboarding. These fees compensate Maho for configuration, account setup, and onboarding work performed on your behalf, which cannot be reversed upon completion. If a customer chooses to cancel prior to onboarding commencing, a refund of the setup fee may be issued at Maho’s sole discretion, less any work already performed.
2. Monthly Service Fees
Monthly service fees are non-refundable once billed. If you cancel your subscription, you will retain access to the Services through the end of the current billing period. No prorated refunds are issued for partial months. Maho reserves the right to change monthly pricing with 30 days written notice.
3. Hardware Purchases
All hardware purchases are final and non-refundable. In the event that hardware is defective or malfunctions under normal use, Maho will arrange a replacement or exchange at no additional cost. Merchant must notify Maho of any defect within 14 days of receipt by contacting support@maho.ai. Defective hardware must be returned to Maho in order for a replacement to be issued. Damage resulting from misuse, improper installation, or unauthorized modification is not covered and does not qualify for replacement or exchange.
4. Customer Transaction Refunds
Refunds for transactions made by end-customers through the Maho platform are the sole responsibility of the Merchant. Maho provides tools to initiate refunds through the platform, but the decision to issue a refund rests entirely with the Merchant. Maho does not adjudicate disputes between the Merchant and their end-customers.
5. Chargebacks
In the event a customer files a chargeback with their card issuer for a transaction processed through the platform:
- Merchant is solely responsible for all chargeback amounts, associated fees, and any penalties imposed by the payment processor or card networks.
- Maho reserves the right to debit chargeback amounts and associated fees directly from Merchant’s ACH account on file, or deduct from future payouts.
- Merchant agrees to cooperate with Maho and the payment processor in responding to chargeback disputes and to provide all requested documentation within the required timeframes.
- A chargeback dispute fee may apply per incident as specified in your service agreement.
6. Unauthorized Transactions
If a transaction processed through Maho’s platform is confirmed to be unauthorized (i.e., resulting from fraud or unauthorized card use), Maho will assist in the investigation. Refunds for confirmed unauthorized transactions will be handled in accordance with the applicable payment processor’s policies and card network rules.
7. Post-Termination Reserve
Upon termination of your account for any reason, Maho may hold a reserve from your account for up to 180 days to cover potential chargebacks, disputes, or outstanding fees. Funds in excess of any amounts owed to Maho will be released after the reserve period.
8. Refund Process
To request a refund for eligible Maho services, contact support@maho.ai with your account information and the reason for the refund request. Approved refunds will be processed within 30 days via the original payment method or ACH credit. If the original payment method is no longer active, Maho may issue a refund by check, subject to a minimum 120-day hold.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy at any time by posting the revised version on our website. Continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
